What is a sticky?

I don't know, what a sticky is.
Can anyone help me?

Well, i belive a sticky is a thread that a moderator or super moderator has thought

"This is a really important thread, and should be highlighted and permanent for everyone to see."

And then, it becomes a sticky thread.

Unless I'm wrong...

Stickies are threads which are...uh, stickied

Actually, most forums have auto-pruning and also, the older threads keep on going down in the list. Making a thread a sticky means it will stay on the top of the page always. The mods 'stickify' a thread if it has some important information that might be used for reference. If you're looking for something in particular, 2 things:

1.) Use the button.
2.) Read the stickies- they are your friends.
