Half life 2

I was wondering becose half life 2 comes out soon (this year) does esf gonna be a half life 2 mod... that they gonna use the half life 2 engine ????

No the DEV so far have declared that ESF will die on the HL engine and wont convert to HL2

but why not does HL2 not got a better engine

because they will have to remake their artworks from scratch to take advantage of hl2 which will take them ages and ages to make and will take 2 much effort. as for the code it could be easy or hard to transfer it to hl2 no1 knows.

They won`t cause they have to remodel every model same goes for the maps.

And the code must be tweaked to fit in.

It`s just to much work.

it took around about 2 years for the beta to come out... 2 years of WORK... i dont think that i could redo all my work, 2 years of it again its so bad

if u want a esf type mod on hl2 make your own

i thought with the grapics and engine and all it would look great but if it is that much work we have 2 wait for a other mod but beside that i hope that esf is going for the challenge to make a new esf mod for HL2

The ESF team has said, thus far, that they will NOT move ESF onto HL2.
