Newbieness

I just downloaded ESF, I played it at a net cafe and loved it so I downloaded it this morning, I installed it, but now whenever I try to run it it always says

This application has failed to start because Steam.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem
and then it just causes an error

The problem is, I've reinstalled Steam and ESF ten times each, and it still says the same thing. And I have Steam.dll, I double checked. So......... Anyone know what to do?

I think you should redownload it from somewhere else.

do u have half-life or counter-strike retail?
u cant play esf with steam only hl and cs retail

Her'e's the thing, I got CS, I play it all the time, I can't activate esf though, and I downloaded it from three different vendors
