HL1 to HL2 porting.

I read somewhere that Valve plans on making it so there will be an easy way for HL1 mods to port over to HL2. There is no way of knowing for sure since rumours go around, but if this turns out to be true would ESF consider porting over to the HL2 engine?

P.S. Yes i see the sticky on the forums, but i dont belive i saw this question asked so thats why i posted it.

The Sticky, by all means, should have answered your question. It was put up because this was a very popular question. However, the answer has been static since the issue came up: ESF will not be porting to HL2.
