have Counter Strike but i dont know how to update it and do all that other stuff can somewone please help me

It's the retail, right?
The newest version for retail is 1.0.0.5. Download it off one of the many mirrors listed on the official Counter-Strike webpage, <a href="http://www.counter-strike.net/retail_full.html">here</a>.
This file will update any previous version to the newest version.

ok i updated it but it wont let me play it some of he optoins are gone cause it only says Console,configuratoin,multiplayer,mod listing,view readme,read manual and quit it shows spaces between Console and configuratoin anynody know what a matter with it?

yeah thats what its supposed to be a multiplayer mod only not one player so thats whats wrong with it. it sounds defective u better return it to the store lol. j/k anyway a 1 player CS is supposed to come out sometime so stick around oh yeah this is the esf thread.
