Create game problem

I don't know if this has been asked ,but i've got a problem:
When I create an internet game nobody joins(I waited like half an hour).
Everything works,I can play, but nobody joins.It was my first try creating a game.
I used the search button , but didnt find anything like that.
Please help.

lol.. You can't expect your server to instantly fill.
Get some friends to start playing there and then you will see people start to join.

Most players don't like joining an empty server.

I know, but i wan't to ask another thing:
Should my created server be shown on the list.
Cause its not shoving now.

If your behind a router your going to need to forward the ports. If your not then make sure you create an internet game. If it still doesn't show then change your filter to only esf.

The thing is i dont know if im behind a router.
When I type winipcfg in the run program it says my ip is
10.0.0.7:27015 ,but when i went to the site
www.whatismyip.com it said it is 81.7.68.35.

From looking at your local ip address (10.0.0.7), I would say you have a router, although you should know if your using a router or a modem..

To forward ports on a router you need to log onto it and look for a port forwading menu. You will need to forward port 27105 to your computer. I don't know how my router is setup but I don't need to forward any ports to host a Half-Life server. I did have to with ICS though.

Just write up some basic firewall/router stuff.

Grab some stuff from the linksys faq I keep posting over and over.

once you post it, I will look it over and sticky it.

I'll do it if I remember it while I have some freetime. Overall life kind of fudged up right now so I'm thrown all over the place.
