possible idea for ESF on HL2

well i know the team said it won't happen, but what if another team offered to lend a helping hand like EEA is adding onto ESF, well maybe some team like that could modify the game to fit HL2 and have its own special models and everything...i doubt this will ever happen but hey better to suggest it and get the idea out then not at all

for another team to add ESF to HL2, they would need the source code... And to get that, the team would have to give it to them... I'm thinking the team wouldn't give it to them for a few reasons:

1. The original ESF team wouldn't receive credit, the "changing team" would.
2. The ESF on HL2 is going to need different bug fixes then the one on the original HL engine, but if the ESF team stays with the original HL, how will HL2 bugs be fixed?
