well, these kinda of forums were designed for 1024x768 viewing (or atleast they probably were) but one way to help is to click F11 to make the internet explorer screen thingy bigger

Duece, not everyone has the abbility for that

Tmisgod, we try to keep everyone happy here. As for the 800x600 browser we reduced the maximun sig size so there would be less scrolling. It's not perfect for 800x600 I agree, But it's hard to keep everyone happy..

try that f11 suggestion, might help a bit

No no no.. Like half of the time the width of the forums gets blown out of proportion for some reason. It's annoying to have to scrool with each line. I use 1152x864, but my taskbar is on the left side of my desktop and even with the taskbar at the bottom I have to scroll. I think it's people's sigs or something. I don't know.

On the forums, go to UserCP and then to Options. In here, uncheck the tick-boxes next to "Avatars" and "Signatures". This will hide all signatures and avatars from viewing when you are logged into your account.

This should help decrease the load on your 800x600 resolution.

The scroll problems are caused by people who use the CSS code in ecma to make their sig text glow. They don't know how to nest and close them properly, sometimes interfering with the forum software.

Really Pain, I could run it in 2040x1600 but why the hell would I ever want to do that? I use 1024x768 so I can actually see things and I *still* have to scroll in most of these threads. Perhaps there should be a restriction imposed on glowing text.

Another thing that causes scrolling is images that are large. Or not putting a line between your signature and text... so if you get that taken care of, it will help with some of the scrolling. Most of the time on 1280 x 1024, horizontal scrolling isn't that bad, so if you can, look into trying to get that resolution.
