dude when i go to type in an ip adress to a server it says once i am finished typing it in :notice: "This server is usin a newer protocol 46 than ur 38 u should check for updates to ur client".HELPME.............................

Don't add any spaces, remember to use periods.
For example:

0.00.000.000

Also, try getting the port number. That should help out as well.

0.00.000.000:0000

the reason i am requirin all this assistance is because when i was visiti my mom in nc i play it there at a friends house alot i am only new to the software not the mod

probably not updated to the latest version of half-life(1.1.1.0)
