I just read this thread:
http://forum.esforces.com/showthread.php?t=32831
and I thought that another thing should be added to ESF:
like lets say you are in a PS and you are winning but you aim to the wrong direction,
so if you are wining then you will be able to deside the direction that the beamhead
will follow!!!
and for this ability a special button will be added also so if you are pleased with
the current direction then you will be able to look around
yourself - as always been! - without controlling the beamhead....

I dont think that same thing should be for BS, otherwise tell me how and why!

CRITS and improoving?
....

[edit]
as for the BS with beams and other attacks - Nretep suggested
a solution in that thread above:

... that's cause of the hitboxes ... HL only supports cube hitboxes (not sure) ... so the coder should have to decrease the hitboxes ... then the SB can thouch everything with its edges, but nothing happens (more than currently) ... so it's a difficult decision ... but I can ask if harSens can code it anyhow (he is da best)

yeah, this is a good suggestion
I always hate it when I'm in a PS and I'm winning, but the beam is going the wrong way, so my enemy won't be hurt at all :\

what's about this ?:
A = Player 1; B = Player 2
<|> = tranforming friend of B
O = beamhead; - = beamtrail

<|>___O---------A
_____O
_____|
_____|
_____B

then A&B should struggle to each other ??? you want that if B wins the struggle, he should hit A ???

<|>___O---------A
_____O
____/
___/
__B

not even this one should ...

<|>___O---------A
______O
_______\
________\
_________B

same for this one
if you didn't aim at the enemy it's your fault ... if the enemy aimed at another one, he shouldn't be damaged by you (just mentally ... not in reality)
if you're firing a gene beam at anyone you fight ... then a **** guy comes and fires hie fully charged KHH into your small beam from anywhere else, he could kill ya easily ... this would be nice for the KHH guy ... but not for the other ...
i think the beam should touch the players if both want to struggle each other ... and then it happens so

I can see your point Nretep
So just to make it more Complicated\Fair\Blanced\Acceptable\...

in this case:
<|><font color="#555555">___</font>O---------A<br />
<font color="#555555">______</font>O<br />
<font color="#555555">________</font>\<br />
<font color="#555555">__________</font>\<br />
<font color="#555555">____________</font>B<br />
I would have no chance of directioning the beam to the A player cause of some angle limitations - to make it more fair...

the player B wont be able to deflect the beam to player A
and it was just a lil tweaking to my original suggestion
so it would go fine with your standarts...

yono ... you didn't get my point ... if you're struggling with the way I drew (ASCII-Art) Player B shouldn't be able to hit the player A ... he just shot it to prevent his teammate from hurting ...
sometimes it's kinda annoying if your PS doesn't hit the enemy ... but is also shouldn't happen in these situations (ASCII-Art) ... so I've to disagree completely with your suggestion ...
also: it would look ugly if the whole PS would change his form
also: you've to learn from both sides ... not only from the winner !!! (in most suggestions)

baaaaaaaaahh!!!
NOW WHO DONT GET THE OTHERS POINT???
I am agree with you totaly friend
B shouldnt be able to hit player A not only because it
wasnt his porpuse but also because the angle limitation
that will be put inorder to not missuse this addition to create a PS on those conditions!!

[edit]
I now understand the the last resort is the only option
(lifelessness and obssetion are my fiendz :p )

then the losing guy would aim to the side ... so the stronger couldn't hit him ... so it's useless again

We tried changing the direction of a beam during a ps. It felt really weird... None of the testers or team-members liked it, so it was removed again.
