Pre-server messages

Well u see them in adminmod servers (as well in amx mod servers) but is there anyway to make them without having to install any of those ?

pre-server messages : messages u see when the server is loading, you are welcomed by them etc...

Not that I know of.
Unless there is a MetaMod plugin that does it.

can some one post alink to the admin plugin for this?

It comes with admin mod... it's a standart when loading a server... mostly you see:

welcome [name] this the the [nameserver]

we rule...
we got rules:
you suck etc etc

you know... not in the game it self but PRE-SERVER

I believe the name for this is motd try searching on search engines for a metamod motd plugin altho i dont know of one..There are plenty that do different things for admin and amx mod in amx mod if u get it there is a conmotd.txt in the amx folder and u type what u want in there then when server is loading people see it..

Shure theres one, Its called Adminmod and AMX mod.

hrm makes u wonder ... still not enough...

i don't want anything like admin mod / amx mod or something simular ...

i'm just in search of a way to make those messages WITHOUT those bull**** programs...

anyway please close this it's useless...

You could try Clan Mod.
Although it may e similar, its much more easer than adminmod. (nothing is easer to amx mod )

:duh: please read...

make a MOTD.txt in your esf folder it wil show every map.

If you are looking for just plain text in the "download and initializing" screen, try this:

1. Make a text file called "execGreet.cfg" or whatever name you wish but you must KEEP THE .CFG!!!
2. Inside Greeting.cfg will be whatever you would like to say to the connecting users. All you have to do is type...
echo "-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-"
echo "Hello welcome to my server"
echo "Rules are simple:"
echo "1. there are no rules "
echo "Enjoy your stay at teh Holidae Inn"
echo "-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-"

Last step is to add...
exec Greeting.cfg
to the beginning of server.cfg or listenserver.cfg
Thats what I have on my server and it works just fine. ^^
And thats it.
