internet connection

when I try to set up the mulitplayer options it tries to update my files, but it says that it can't make a connection. What's up with that? If I didn't have a connection I woulnd't be able to download it in the first place. newayz.. help me out please.... can't download updates. Can't dl updates for regular halflife as well.

Right, the update is called 1.1.1.0 and you can download it from here

go to fileplanet.com and download half-life full update 1.1.1.0 then uninstall esf, use the update, install esf, done

Only reason u shouldn't be allowed to update your HL is if its not a store-bought game. You'll need a key to update it from the game menu, I believe. Don't quote me on that, but it makes sense.
