Before you start to complain (Mods, team members to) Just hear me out.
Half-Life 2 will allow w/e the Half-Life 1 engine did not.
- Bigger maps
- Higher quality Models
- (I suppose) Rocks being smashed when i get blasted into them
- Higher Quality maps
- Better terrain
- Terrain changeing automaticly trough out the game
- Higher quality animations, and Beams, etc.
- Better handeling of mods like this
And many many more.
Half-life 2 is basicly Half-life 1 where they just added and added and added.
(Ive read that from people who are c++ educated and has the source code)
So maybe the "team" will let ESF die on the half-life 1 engine, but what about the community? Is it possible when ESF "dies" Another team can take over, and port it to HL2 and develop it like the Old Team did?
That the all of source code/resources for esf will be released to another team dedicated to get it to run on the half-life 2 engine?
Knowing that the team said they dont want to be stuck on something the rest of thier lives. Maybe some other people could take over ?
Thats my view on it. Ive had this thought some time, it has been thought over several times. So DONT just flame it, cuz someone said else...
