need help please

i'm looking to download the beta 1.1 from someone through aim. i have a 56k connection and i get kicked every time i try to download it from esfstuff.com since it takes 6 hours . so if someone has cable internet i was thinking on aim it would go faster. or does ayone know how i can download something from where it stopped ? like if i have 65% done and i get kicked off the net how do i continue from 65% insted of starting over ?(if thats possible) and what do i need to play the game ? half life/ beta 1.1? is that all ? well thanx for your time please if you know tell me or u can message me on aim EL ASSO WIPO 54

try a download manager like download accelerator plus
lets u resume downloads and speeds em up

i use download accelerator plus (dap) as humpie suggested. its a pretty decent utility for downloading and managing your files. you can get it here:
