Help!!! plz!! do i need a patch? if so, wat kind of patch?

as i said, i have a counter strike CD and i downloaded ESF 1.1 Beta, installed it and was ready to play.

but it kept crashing and said "Mod_NumForName: sprites/voiceicon.spr not found"

so i searched it on the forum and found voiceicon file, downloaded it and pasted it.

but it still won't work! it crashes! do i need a patch?

i have counter strike (not half life) and the version is 1.0.0.0

well basically i haven't updated it at all

so can u plz help me out? do i ned a patch and if so, wat kind of patch?

look i think you need half-life 1.1.1.0 update.
i think it works the best that way. try getting it from your frieds or something.
for the update theres links all around the place.

Just make sure your Counter-Strike is fully up to date (1.5 if you are using WON).

downloaded this file called hl1110 and it doesn't work

it says that i have incorrect language version

i think it's because i installed my CS with this korean dude's cd

it's still in English though.

and it also says that it's running the version of Half-Life. This update is for the English versions of Half-Life.

which doesn't make any sense to me

do i have to download 1.5 for counter strike? is it because i downloaded a patch for half-life? or is it because i downloaded it from this korean website (hanbitsoft.co.kr)?

i want to play this game really bad.

oh and im trying to download 1.0.0.5 for counter strike now, as xxshadowxx had advised but there's two different patches

it's korean website (hanbitsoft.co.kr) and one is for age 18 and another one is for age 15 (well that's what it says, even though i have no idea wat this means.)

Just buy half life from the shops for about $10 bucks and then upgrade to 1.1.1.0 and download ESF and youyr all Set to go!
I dont think that helped but yea....
