Need help urgently

Whenever I try to start the installer, once it says "Searching for previously installed components", the installer freezes, What should I do?

on some computers this can take awhile ( up to 10 min. )

Task Manager is a liar, the installer never actually freezes until you call it up.

ok magor help, listen I cant find out where to get ESFbeta1 I have the update beta (aka. ESFbeta1.1 installer) but I need the Full original plz put link on here to show where to get ESF full plz.

I am trying to Download esfbeta11patch.exe but I dont know if that is correct (oh yea and I got it from http://www.hl-mods.com/core/dllink.php?id=76 so uh if that is where I get full plz praise me I AM SMART) oops I need to exit steam, brb
