ESFS help

Ok I followed those steps on adding a mod to steam and when i click on earth special forces it says fatal error and says like could not open and then gives the name. Please help me out

could not open what?

open earth special forces

if ur trying to instsll esf to ur steam got to http://www.esf-world.com/index_esfw.php
and down load the esf steam installer

i have one more question though are there people playing esf on steam or should i download bots

last time i checked, i saw 6 servers online, but you can always play bots

trust me: use bots for the start then go internet.
btw i normaly see about 15-20 servers around

Are you sure that was steam? That's usually around the number of WON servers on-line. However I haven't tried steam yet so I'm just going by what others have told me about it..

Make sure you have fmod.dll in your half-life directory.

Steam:
Make sure it's in C:\program files\steam\steamapps\your email\half-life\esf

Self-updates, make sure you let stream run first.

WON:
c:\sierra\half-life\esf

Make sure your using the latest update(1.0.0.0 i think)

Try using the menu to get to the 1.1 beta instead of making shortcuts.

ok thanks but i downloaded bots liuke u said and i can get them to work i put the bots in my folder and stuff and activated them but they dont work when i bind my = and - key to them and it says unkwown command: botmenu. What should i do.

oh and one more thing well i downloaded buu pack and got the models in the folder and it works and i downloaded buu tweek file to make him better but how do i use it do i just put it in the folder or what becuase it is a rar file no mdl file.
