Bots on a Steam server

Im having trouble activating bots on my Server. Its hosted by a company, NOT BY MY HOUSE.

I installed all the fies, but it wont activate.. Its a steam 1.1 server. Please help :cry:

just edit the gamedll in the lblist.gam to esf_bot.dll ... because after the installation of the files you will have to use the bot activator in order to make them work, but without shell access thats not possible so do it manually

So your saying.. edit the liblist.gam file and it will work?

No, the bots are in an ESF folder, I ahve FTP access.... But i cannot use ActivateBots.exe.

That is what Activate bots does.
BUT, remember this: your hosting company might not allow bots.

Yes, 'ActivateBot' changes the libist.gam file so bots are activated.

At the moment, dedicated servers don't have a menu, this goes in version 4.0 (which is released with 1.2). Use the 'addbot' command.

but if i type addbot in console. wont everytone be able to use addbot?

on a dedicated server its esf_bot "addbot" ... i think.

I think it's 'esf_bot3 addbot'

or

'esf_bot4 addbot'

(make shure you already have a rcon password)

ok, the esf_bot3 addbot worked, but now how do I change there fighting style... like melee... and there difficulty?

I want them to melee, and cnat get it to work.. lol

NO support has been added for DEDICATED SERVERS especally STEAM ONES. The bot was mainly made for WON and LISTEN SERVERS.

Uhm do you have a message of the day(motd) on your server? If so delete it because the bots don't like them. For bot commands...see the manual
