ESF beta 1.2 Installation

Will the install automatically install steam? I think it should be this way because i myself cant seem to get steam to work with ESF so if you just included it in the installation it would make things a lot easier.

And another thing, will installing the mp3's with it screw up the install, or is that fixed ?

I guess 1.2 auto detects steam and installs everything in the right place
so install steam, then double click the esf 1.2 installer ( when it's out that is o_o ) and start hitting the next button

i dont see how people have trouble installing steam. i thought it was going to be hard but when i followed some insctructions it worked right away. like steam better :yes: but anyways yea it should come with the steam install easier for some people

Is the file gonna be a patch as well?

i can assure you the team would have an 1.2 full installer, and an updater

i had trouble installing steam

but i later found out that the esforces site didnt have the full patch
that was my problem
i feel dumb tho
the full thing was bout 110mbs

To answer the threadmaker....

No, there most probably won't be a ESF+Steam installer without Valve's full support.

So that means download Steam first then get ESF 1.2, or stick with WON (amazingly it still works....with bugs)

I wouldn't bet on it, the patch is still a really large file, since almost everything has been updated since 1.1.

I guess I should answer these questions ...

- one installer for steam & won
- one full and one limited installer
- no patch (it would have about 10MB less ...)
- it'll be HUGE

if you had trouble with installing ESF on steam, DL my steam installer and try it again

right 1.2 will be full install only

MUch better... the idea with esf + steam installer is dumb cause some people like myself already have steam installed
