first, really good work on ESF...
I haven´t tried out 1.2 (and i want to).
the problem is simply...
WHAT A F***,,, 200MB? i cant i my
biggest dreams get that down on my
computer until 2010....
56kbps... have you ever heard of it?
its really sloooow and is really a pain
in my ass when i was trying to download
200mb of great ESF...

You know there's a light version that's 25% smaller, right?

I used to use 56k, I know your pain.

The only thing I can suggest is perhaps getting a download manager like get right or something similar.

Its kinda expected. Of course its gonna be big, its a great game .

ever heard of leaving a download on? or perhaps a download accelerator? or perhaps upgrading to non crap connection?

i dont know if u noticed lately but 90% of hl mods are over 160mb

strange how everyone else on 56k can get esf and dont suddenly have to wait till 2010 to get it


not like esf can suddenly be 20mb and still be as good

but hey if u have a magical compression softwear that does that by all means share

56k is dying out. Broadband will be more and more affordable as time progresses. I'll tell you this though, once you go broadband, you'll never go back.

well it almost cost nothing for a 256/64 Broadband today :S (cant remember the exact numbers) and its worth it... really!

I guess sometimes people don't read.
Good luck out there in the Swedish No-Man's land with that 56k BTW, you're gonna need it until soem broadband company starts setting up shop there.

In the meantime, use DAP and choose a mirror that allows resumable downloading (a lot of them do anyway) and download it. If you got to turn it off, you can at least resume it.

Even if it takes 50 days, it will be well worth it.

I have 128kbps and I pay around 14$ for it monthly in Poland, how it's in compare to other countries?

FlashGet and Get Right are best accelerators for me I get ESF 1.2 in about one and half hour
