help installing

hey i need help installing esf, when i try to make a map it says it cant find the dll files, i tried reinstallin but it didnt work

Try updating to the latest HL if you have WON.

Stick that in your HL folder if you have it updated or have Steam.

do i have to have halflife installed? cause i only installed counterstrike

i don't use steam so i don't know...
