plzzz help me

when i click on the maps that i have saved it says windows cannot open this file it gives me two choices use the web service to find the appropriate program or select the program from a list should this happen because when i try playing esf i can only use half life maps

I have two guess' as to the first part of your question, you could either be trying to double click an actual map file (which you can't do - halflife reads those) or you're trying to open a .zip or a .rar file with a map inside (you can get winrar from www.winrar.com to read those).

As to the second part of the question, are you running esf through a shortcut? if you are, then the shortcut is probably wrong.

To fix that, right click on the ESF shortcut and then click on properties. In the Start In box, write C:\sierra\half-life (Your hl directory) and then click ok.

k that makes sense but i can play esf i just can use any esf maps there all hallf life maps how do i make it so i have all the cool maps like the time soul room(hyperbolic time chamber) and stuff like that
