i cant install

i use steam. i went and downloaded esf 1.2 and went to install it. the thing game up with the directory C:\valve\steam\steamapps\email\half-life so i hit next and it says ESF could not be found on selected location. Please choose again. what do i do?

you must have downloaded the ESF 1.2.1 this si the PATCH it can only be installed once esf 1.2 has been installed to get it you can find it at http://www.esf-world.com but if you want better bandwidth i would go for http://www.fileplanet.com but you will have to make a user account but it doesnt take long
