try using a difrent instaler from these

The installer is slow for some people. usually you have to just let it sit.. some times for 30 minutes and up to an hour for it to install. Just be patient if you can...

what are your system specs
what did you download
what did you do to try to fix it.
do you have steam installed
do you have a legit hl-key

with the kind of info you just gave i really cant help you out.
