I'm more focused on the BG instead of the font/pic.

I like that one more. The border is different/cool and it's nice and light. Good on the eyes.

(yeah sorry i may not be the best judge on sigs, cuz if it looks cool i like it lol)

Call me a perfectionist, but the actual "border" is uneven.

Also, it would have looked better if you had used a darker maroon, instead of blue.

Agreed with Hwoarang, the border lines are clumsy and it would look better dark brown. Same goes for the font.
