Lan game

Im not really smart when it comes to games, but, how would you add bots in a lan game for esforces and counter strike. i dont have the internet so i have to play against the computer. and my half-life games keep screwing up. every time I try to play, my screen goes really frizzy and then this black haze covers everything up so i cant see what is going on. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice now. it is really weird and i need help bad. I cant any of my halflife games at all. (and i have 5 versions of half life, all of which arent playable at all)

First don't use software mode. Change to opengl in your video settings in steam.

2nd to choose from bots press the = button.

3rd. if you don't have the internet how did you post this?

Im using my grandmas computer. she has comcast high speed internet. and how do i change to opengl?
