DLL error on STEAM.. BUT, tried all solutions

Ok,

I've got 1.21 BETA for EFS. I've got Steam. I've entered the CDKey and Half Life now shows on the list for Steam, BUT, I still cannot get the EFS mod to run. Every time I see the question asked, it seems to be resolved by getting 1.21 and / or steam.

Before installing STEAM, the message was about a missing client.dll file. NOW, with STEAM installed, I get a message that the .dll file DIFFERS FROM THE SERVER. Again, when I search for a solution, the recommended solution seems to be getting 1.21, and again, I have 1.21 BETA which is the most current I believe.

ANY HELP PLEASE ????????

have you tried downloading Pcjoe's fmod.dll? ( im sure it was fixed in the 1.2.1 patch though) re-install. Install ESF 1.2 to Steam, then after installing that, install the patch. Alternatively, download the 1.2.1 full install, which installs 1.2 AND 1.2.1. This can be found at http://www.esf-world.com
