Hmmm... good question.

A few memorable intros from PC games (in no particular order):
  • Dune 2
  • Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
  • Sam & Max Hit the Road
  • Full Throttle
  • Carmageddon
  • Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
  • Soul Reaver
There's prolly a few I've missed, but those are definitely among my favourites.

X-COM UFO Defense

Very low quality, but the part that plays when the space ship takes off sends shivers down your spine. O_O

THE HALF-LIFE TRAIN INTRo, IT ROCKED!
Yeah, that one wasn't too bad. I especially love the bit at the start where the scientist and guard are running to catch the train below, but the train leaves without em :D

Ocarina of time on N64. Zelda and Impa fleeing on the white horse, Ganondorf chasing on the black horse. That game was great in every way.

I am shocked nobody has said Final Fantasy 7 yet; starts out zoomed into Midgard on Aeris picking a flower, camera pans back to reveal an alleyway, which becomes a busy street, which becomes a block of buildings, which becomes a sea of industrial construction and at last rests at a stunning(for the time) shot of Midgard with the title...then cuts to sparking train wheels, cuts back to Midgard zooming in, cuts back to train wheels, back to Midgard zooming in, wheels, Midgard where train tracks become visible, then a train pulls into view and as the train stops, the camera comes to rest next to it just in time for your character to hop out and begin the game.

Extremely cool.

It's a crappy N64 "RPG."

Quite a funny game, with Power-rangers style boss fights.
