Esf executable?

Yeah I used to be able to create a lan game and just play bots. but now it says that my earth's special forces executable is out of date. I have hl version 1.1.1.0.. it also says it is trying to authenticate with won servers and it never did that before either. some one please help.

You need Steam to play ESF.
WON doesnt exist anymore.

He needs steam to play online, but he should be able to play on lan with bots. As for your problem man, I don't know. It shouldn't have done that... Are you sure you pressed lan game?

I have steam. I still dont understand, I used to be able to train by myself. I cant anymore.

I had a similar problem when I first installed ESF. I resolved it by denying Half-Life access to the internet with my firewall. Strangely though after a while it stopped happening at all.
