can i not play this if I have halflife 2?

I installed ESF.. but it installed to "half life" directory under the steamapps dir... can i not play this game if i dont have half life original?!

do you have any retail version of counter strike, halflife or any packs?

if not, what do you have?

i have Counterstrike source that came with half life 2

if you just have hl2 then you cannot play esf - it is a hl1 engine game.

you can dl half-life1
and VERY esay find a cd-key for it... but not 1 for steam..
Im not allowed to tell where you can dl hl1... but it is possible..
I bought my hl1 and my cd-key was already used !!!!!
i bought hl1 again... cd-key already used... OMG!!!!!!!
I stolen my friend cd-key (he didnt know about steam) Then it worked :laff:
I did told him i used his cd-key and he was not care... WON GAMEING CS CLAN WARS
He was playing CS on WON that time
And he did said it was ok i used it... hehe lol
now i just got 2 hl1 games i dont need :S

u cant play with half-life 2
