Forums - New Server location

Basically, to test our the new datacenter we are building here in Australia, we have moved the ESF forums onto a server located within this new facility.

We would like to hear people's comments on how they find the new server, speedwise and any problems you may come accross!

1 day site forum crashes? I wasnt aware of any probs with the site/forums before?

Living in Australia has made the forums faster for me. I'm not complaining!

Well for me, I sometimes wasn't able to go on the forums for like 5 hours. I'm not sure though it might just be me.

I got those, but not once a day, it was pretty rare. Still, its very fast now, keep the server here!

I haven't had many of those problems, and they were all fixed within the hour, 2 hours maximum. The last one was months ago though.

hasn't really changed for me, though my speed is always changing cuz of my bros DLs i can never really be sure

actually cuc, i couldnt come on esf 2 weeks ago, "server was unavailable" or something like that, well i didnt notice any speed changes for me, so just keep it in australie since it does seem to speed up other people

anyway the speed is the same for me no diferences

It seems to be the same for me, maybe just a little slower then before.

Im very slow at noticing

Pretty slow to me now, although the esf website has always been pretty slow compared to other forums I frequent.

its more quicker for pages to load up for me now kool

I noticed the downtime around 10:00-14:00 GMT, as for the site now, it's the same for me I think.

anyway the forums will be fast for me, also a fair amount of members here live in australia

and yes, about 2 weeks ago the forum was down for like half the day

I'm not doubting the validity of your claim, only pointing out that not everyone was affected by the outages.
