WON Half Life Help

When I use a steam version of counter strike 1.6 to put esf on it works but when I use a old WON version of halflife ESF does not work on it any one know how I can get it to work on the old WON version of halfife

it will not work online, WON has been disabled permanently.

even if I have steam installed

won version of halflife? if you have the cd key then try to enter the game's key in steam.. then it will install the halflife to work with steam
