Hey people, I really want to play this game. I have Counterstrike, and according to the site, I can play ESF with counterstrike. Aright, i've downloaded ESF beta and everything, and this is what happens when i try to update:

Okay, I've downloaded it. How do i get it to select an ESF server? All i'm seeing is CS servers.

did you register your HL CD-key

After downloading steam, register your cd key and download and play half-life through steam. You need to play HL atleast once so that the necessary files are in..
Then download and install ESF. I recommend intallind 1.2, then installing the individual patches.. I've heard of people having problems doing the full install of 1.2.3.
You'll be able to find ESF under 3rd party games and you're set to go.
If someone more knowledgeable comes along, can they make sure my steps are correct?
