i'm thinknig of ethier sticking with my 2400+ setup (2400+,512ddr geil,160gig samsung sata,asus a7nx-e del,fx5200) and buyying a x00xt , antec true power psu (550w) , another 160gig sata and 1 gig of geil or maybe if i can afford it ocz memoery (or some of the stuff i mensioned , depending on how my budget is

Or getting a new platform with : a 3200+ venice , ocz memory if i can afford it , an msi kn diamond board & an leadtek 6600gt extreme

A64. It'll help in the long run. Also a good mother board is the MSI K8N NeoPlatnum2. that's what I got.

the neoplat 2 is only agp thou :p the diamond is PC-ie :p

Just get a 6600GT for your current setup. Anything above that would probably be pretty bottlenecked on your system.

i would , but if i get one , i'd make sure it's a gainward or one of those asus 6600gt top editin cards , on agp , these particular cards are clocked to the same pc-ie speeds , the memory speed on a normal 66g is 900mhz , and usally 1100mhz on the pc-ie models , plus these two particular cards come with 1.6ns memory :)

I'm pretty sure the PCI-E* ones have memory running at 1GHz, not 1.1GHz. Get whichever one you'd like. I'd personally go with the Gainward 6600GT GS, as my last GS (GeForce 3 ti200) was able to overclock the core almost 75% from default. Very impressive :eek:.
