Anyone familer with Bid for Power?

Ever since the quake 3 mod bid for power went down, it was a sad day, but i found ESF, and was wondering if you guys had anything planned to protect ESF from going down like bid for power did.

Bid for power was a DBZ mod for QUAKE 3 that was forced to be shut down. now im worried about ESF, since its a really nice Mod.

also did the ESF team use some ideas from BFP? it might help developement.

Well, the whole "BFP was forced to shut down" thing is kind of iffy. I won't say much about that, other than I don't think you need to worry much about Funimation coming and shutting anything down.

Anyway, most of the nontrivial suggestions that stem from BFP are usually long discussions that end in "BFP used Quake III, ESF uses HL1, which is based off of Quake I."

I've never played the mod myself, not owning a copy of Quake III, but from what I've heard from those who have, it had its ups and downs just like ESF does.

Yea..let's keep mod comparisons off of the boards.
