I have no doubt that HL3 is in developement for quite some time. It just might take very long since i assume they have to make a new engine from scratch. Source Engine was still QuakeWorld (or some sort of Quake Engine) at it's core and those static baked stuff doesn't work for bigger games. You don't want to wait a few hours to bake lighting and visibility.

The only thing i'm really hoping for is a bunch of physics.

The rumour of HL3 being made is one of the worlds most poorly hidden rumours

There's been hints of it for years, HL3 being in development is not new news

It's like when the USA government announced Area 51 was real, The whole world just said "No shit"

Yeah HL3 being in development is pretty obvious, I'm pretty sure they even said something small about it in like 2012. I imagine they don't want to say much about it too early, considering how things with HL2 went before the release.

Source 2 is a completely new engine. Watch the video I posted earlier in this thread, Gabe confirms it and "Ricochet 2".

As for the latest leak, its was a legit unintentional breakout. He is not part of Valve, so whatever he knows, he knows from visits to the Valve office or so. Its his own opinion. I feel bad for the guy. He wasn't prepared for unforeseen consequences.
