Hello community,

So my old high school buddy and I were talking about our old gaming days and he reminded me of a cool Dragonball game we once played once back in like 2002-2004. We couldn't remember the title since we only played the game about 3 or 4 times before the local PC shop closed down. I decided to hunt this game down and after a few days I've finally found it! I couldn't find this game on steam. Dumb Question... Do I need both half-life and the Earth's Special Forces v1.2.3 download to play this game? any help would be appreciated

Yes, Half-Life 1 is required to play ESF.

Half - Life 1 is needed if u r going to play ESF on Steam:

step two is to download half-life 1 with steam, then download esf123

after u have downloaded both, copy esf folder in esf123 to Half-life folder:

the last step: save this setting just like the pic blow then start to play=w=

ESF install creates a desktop shortcut and an entry inside Steam library (as long as you have provided a proper installation directory) so there is no reason to put any launch parameters to Half-Life specifically.

From my experience the installer won't even install the game if it can't find the correct folders (1.2.3)

ESF installs in a folder that contains hl.exe or hlds.exe, so HL folder. That should be easy enough.

**** valve_schinese, the better question is why is an Asian using Russian Windows.
